Spencer Levin channels Happy Gilmore with unique putting grip

Golfer is the best when it comes to putting. Spencer LevinThe putting form fors is a bit more unusual than most. It even resembles one of Adam Sandler’s iconic movie characters.

Levin displayed a putting grip he modeled after Happy Gilmores while practicing at the Shriner Childrens Open. Sandler played the same character in the 1996 film. The 38-year-old golfer said that hes already heard similarity to Sandlers stance.

Another guy came out and asked, Whats the matter? Happy Gilmore? Levin said.

After recent struggles with his putting, Levin made the switch. After trying different split-hand grips on a regular putting club, Levin found a hammY-branded putter in the garage of his father. Levin claims that the club was designed to suit his unique form. Levin immediately noticed the benefits of the new grip.

The first time I used it, it made 11 birdies. Since then, I have been using it.

Levin will show off his skills and putting grip when he tees-off at 11:30 a.m. ET on Thursday
