Yannik PaulHe made a birdie putt of 15 feet on the final hole to win his first European Tour title by one stroke at Sundays Mallorca Open.
Paul, 28, overcame a deficit of two shots with three holes remaining at the Son Muntaner Golf Club. The German player finished the tournament on 15 under, having made three birdies and four double bogeys. It was his 26th appearance in the European tour.
Marcus Armitage(73) held a two-shot lead at the end of three holes but finished bogey. He finished in a tie for sixth.
Paul had consecutive bogeys at Nos. 14 and 15 to lose the lead, but recovered at end.
Paul said, Im speechless, honestly. Im just so happy. It was really difficult today. All week, my ball striking was amazing. I missed the putts on the first two holes, but it was close. It was difficult to just stay in this moment. Fortunately, none of the other men made a lot.
Englands Paul Waring(66) and Germanys Nicolai von Dellingshausen(69) tied for second place on 14 under.
