Packers Aaron Rodgers wins pro-am at Pebble Beach

PEBBLE BEACH (Calif.) Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron RodgersFinally, his name is added to the Wall of Champions at Pebble Beach. This joins a long list that also includes Tiger Woods, Jack NicklausArnold Palmer.

Rodgers Ben Silverman of Canada held on for a 1-shot victory Sunday in the pro-am portion of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Their name will be listed on the wall with other winners, tournament winners, USGA champions at Pebble, and others.

Rodgers stated that it was really significant that the Packers failed to reach the NFL playoffs in Rodgers 15-year tenure as the starter. Its always been on the bucket list.

Rodgers did his fair share of the heavy lifting. Silverman, fresh from a Korn Ferry Tour victory, finished at 1-over 216, but missed the cut. Rodgers played off a 10-handicap and said he hadn’t played since training camp on Monday.

They finished at 26-under par and 1 shot ahead Peter MalnatiDon Colleran (retired president and CEO of FedEx), whose name is already on the wall.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh AllenAnd Keith Mitchell were 4 behind.

Rodgers stated that Josh Allen had told him there would be an asterisk after this win, as there were only three rounds. But I believe our names will be up there for quite a while.
