Is it possible to play too much golf?
It is possible for golfers to overplay and have a negative impact on your finances and physical health. This is a rare situation. With the obligations of work and family, golf often takes a backseat, and most people don’t have the time to golf enough.
There are several key factors that you should consider when deciding if you are too golfing.
Golf is expensive. Most golfers must pay greens fees and cart fees each time they play.
This can add up to hundreds, if not thousands of Dollars per month. If your finances are not able to support it, you might need to limit how much you play. Play as much golf as possible.
If you play golf every day, it may be more economical to join a private club. You could save a lot on your round.
You can also expect to get a better deal when you play the golf course. It can also help you burn some calories.
Other obligations and relationships
Golf is addictive.
Sometimes you may decide to skip the family barbecue and play some golf with your friends. However, this can cause problems with people, and it’s generally not a good idea.
If your house is a mess, you are behind on bills and your grass hasn’t been cut in a few weeks, chances are you are playing too much golf. It never feels like there is enough time for golf.
I have been more intentional about focusing on the things that are most important to me so that I have the time and energy to do the things that I want to do.

If you plan to play every day, I recommend you include some practice sessions in your week. No matter your skill level or skill level, bad mechanics can happen.

How Many Times per Week Should You Golf?
For most players, the optimal number of times they can play golf each week is 3.

Playing the Course
Golfers aim to play between 2 and 4 rounds per week. Golf burnout can occur when you play more than four rounds per week. Only you can determine how you feel and the appropriate amount of golf you should be playing.
Number of Miles walked for 9 Holes
Golfers often feel tired from playing too many rounds. This is due to the fact that they cover a lot of ground. Of course, if you use a golf cart, you won’t get quite as many steps in, but if you walk, it’s a long distance.
A 9-hole golf course averages 3 miles. This will include the steps you need to find your ball in the woods, the distance between tee boxes and walking around the birdie putting green a few times.
If you’re interested in walking more courses, it’s a good idea to start with 9 holes. You can then see where it takes your and how you feel. It’s also smart to use a pushcart to ensure you don’t damage your back or knees over time.
Number of Miles walked for 18 Holes
Walking 18 holes of golf is equivalent to walking between 5-6 miles. It can take golfers some time to be able walk this distance while still being able to swing the golf clubs.
If you plan on walking 18 holes, it is worth investing in a quality push cart to ensure you don’t get tired early in the round.
Walking 18 holes is a great way to improve your health and your game. You can focus more on the shots when you walk than you can when you ride the cart. Walking can be a great way to improve your mental game. You might be pleasantly surprised.
