What Types of Drivers Are Best suited for Women?

The best golf clubs for women are usually lightweight ones with a slight draw bias.

A driver with a slightly higher loft is a benefit for most women golfers. The majority of women golfers need a ladies’ flex golf shaft, but faster swinging women golfers can use a men’s regular golf shaft as well.

Callaway Mavrik

The Callaway MavrikIt is one of most affordable options for women. Although this club hasn’t been on the market for a while, the price has dropped significantly. This happens to be the driver I have had in my bag for the past few years, and I’m quite comfortable and impressed with the performance.

The Jailbreak Technology in your club head will prove to be a benefit, as we have seen with Callaway’s best golfers over the past few years. Jailbreak speeds up the ball and helps ensure that the ball flies off the club face.

Callaway used their carbon crown technology for a lighter feel and faster ball speed. It had excellent dispersion and distance capability. It’s not the most workable of golf drivers, and it does set up slightly open at impact, but those are the only flaws that I have noticed.

Most of the best Cobra golf drivers end up on a “Best Value” list at some point because of how moderately priced Cobra is with all of its equipment. A Cobra driver’s new release is almost always cheaper than other golf clubs. The Cobra Radspeed XDExtreme Draw Weighting can be used to assist players who slice the balls.

Many women golfers have trouble with a ball flight that moves from left to right. A slight fade like this can sometimes be a problem, but if it becomes a full slice it can be very frustrating to recover from. The XD Draw Driver frame has an oversized shape with a heel bias. You will enjoy a lighter head, lighter shaft, and lighter grip with the Cobra Air X Golf Driver. Cobra was among the first companies to start looking at weight savings across the whole club, not just the club head. It has made a tremendous impact on product selection.

The Air X golf driver is a game improvement tool. It is offset and will reduce slice. The club head is a little more workable than the rest and has a slightly lighter feel. You may have trouble with the stability and feel of the clubhead at impact if you have fast swing speeds.

The Cobra Air X makes a great choice for senior golfers and those who require extra speed.

This could be the perfect match for you if your luck has been with clubs that are specifically designed for women players. One of the things that helps the Callaway Reva Women’s Driver stand out is the high launch and the very low and forward center of gravity.

To increase overall ball speed and swing speed, the center of gravity is moved forward and down. This model will also be low spin and keep a golf ball moving for a long period of time. The Reva is a great choice if you want consistency and a club that’s easy to hit.

The Reva has the same premium Flash Face as the Callaway premium golf drivers, but is priced a bit lower. This driver also has an internal draw bias, which can explain some of the draw bias. Because of the internal design, it doesn’t look nearly as offset than something like the Cobra Air X.

The Cleveland Launcher XL LiteIt is very light in weight and is not adjustable. While it may seem negative, the Cleveland Launcher XL lite has no adjustability. This can actually be a positive. This club was designed to increase distance and ball speed.

One of the things that Cleveland did to make their Cleveland Launcher XL Lite unique is they made it a quarter of an inch longer than other women’s golf drivers. To make it easier to swing fast, the driver’s total weight was reduced by 12g.

I was initially concerned about the lengthening of the driver. It is more difficult to swing a longer golf club. The Action Mass CB at one end of the grip is a great tool to help you swing the club head through with maximum power and no difficulty squaring them up.

I like that Cleveland went out on a limb and tried something different with this new Launcher; it’s a club well worth considering.

I’m highly impressed with the technology that TaylorMade put into this club and the way they are trying to once again change the world of golf. Almost all drivers were made with Titatinum up to the release of the Stealth HD’s Carbon Twist Face.

With the TaylorMade Women’s Stealth 60X Carbon Twist Face, 60 layers of carbon fiber are intertwined to save weight yet offer an increased jump off the club face. Players notice that the spin is less, the feel is more stable, and the ball jumps off of the clubface.

Early testing with the TaylorMade Stealth has shown that those who have lower swing speeds benefit from the Inertia Generator and Carbon Twist Face the most. The HD version is a High Draw version which helps to straighten the ball flight for women golfers who slice the ball a bit.

The buzzword in golf club manufacturing this season is tungsten. Golf clubs that contain more tungsten are more stable at the center of gravity, and have better performance. Callaway’s AI technology is leading the charge in CG placement.

Callaway Rogue ST Max driver, one of my favorites, is a great choice for those golfers trying to lower their handicap. It can be expensive to get equipment that will improve your game.

The Callaway Rogue ST Max is an excellent investment for the long-term because it can be adjusted and offers a bit of everything that all golfers need.
