Ancer won a wire to wire victory that featured most of the LIV Golf league, which was funded by Saudi Arabia. It was his third victory worldwide.

Young, the PGA Tour rookie champion of the year, was released to compete in the Asian Tour event. This was his sixth runner up finish in the last 16 months. Ancer caught him briefly on the front nine before Young made a 2-shot shot on the eighth hole. Young made birdie and Ancer made a par — which restored Ancer’s 2-shot lead.

Young will now travel to back-toback elevated events on PGA Tour in Phoenix, and Los Angeles. Ancer, who joined LIV in the summer, will be absent for two weeks before LIV Golf begins its second year.
