During my amateur and college golf careers, I loved team play. It brought an extra energy to my game, especially in match play. Morikawa stated that this passion has been heightened by the opportunities to represent the U.S. at the Ryder Cup/Presidents Cup, and that he is looking forward to joining a TGL team next season. I think that TGLs design to offer sports fans the best in a weekly, primetime tournament, from start to finish in just two hours, will appeal more to casual golf fans and introduce our sport into younger fans.

The league, which has been partnered by the PGA Tour will begin in January 2024. It will play in primetime on Monday nights. It will include 15 regular-season matches, followed with semifinals and finals. The games will be played in virtual venues in front a live audience.

Woods, McIlroy & McCarley announced August the formation TMRW Sports. This will manage the TGL league and work with the PGA Tour.

The TGL league will allow the 18 tour players to earn more money and play only two hours each week as the PGA Tour continues to evolve.

Scott stated in a statement that As pro golf continues to evolve, he was excited to play a role in the future of professional golf for fans and golfers alike. I am therefore excited to compete in TGL and look forward sharing the stage at the Palm Beach venue with my colleagues and competitors.
