Clarke won last months Senior British Open at Gleneagles.

Clarke said, It is nice to win at any time, but winning a major senior was more special. I feel good right now about my game. Clarke said, Its not to suggest Ill have another few days like I had today, but Im going my best.

Singh opened birdie,birdie eagle.

Singh said, Played nicely, kept it in play, which is what you need at this golf course. Just tried making a lot of birdies.

Charles Schwab Cup Leader Steven AlkerAt 71, was tied for 39th. Bernhard LangerThe 64-year-old star who won the 2014 event, also shot 71.

Miguel Angel JimenezAlker and matched the Boeing Classic winner, Jerry KellyShot 72 to take the tour victory lead of three. John DalyThe 1992 B.C. Champion of the PGA Tour, 93 was 96 by Open at the course, also had 72.

Defending champion Cameron BeckmanShot a 73.
