Jessica Korda takes 6-shot lead after 2nd round in Spain, also wins team event

SOTOGRANDE (Spain) — Jessica Korda increased her lead to six shots heading into the final day in the Aramco Team Series. She also won Fridays team event.

Korda shot 4-under 68 in round two, one day after breaking the course record with an 11-under score of 61. This round was the lowest round relative to par on the Ladies European Tour.

She was six shots ahead Pauline Roussin (68), while Jessicas sister Nelly Korda was third after a score of 69.

After finishing with a total 33-under over two rounds, the foursome of Jessica Korda and Tereza Melecka, Noora Kolainen, and amateur Malcolm Borwick won the 36-hole team event by one shot.

Korda stated, I think we just had a really good vibe out there. We tried to keep it light as possible. It was much more difficult today. It was very difficult today because of the wind, but everyone played and contributed. The beauty of team golf is that when someone is out, another person has their back.
