Fowler hasnt won the tour in three and a half years, while Putnam has been winless for four years.
The Zozo, which is played at Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in the outskirts Tokyo, is the only PGA Tour Japan event. The winner will receive $1.98million and $11million in prize money.
