MALELANE (South Africa) — Ockie Strydom posted a 63 to match Scott Jamiesons course record a day earlier. He shares the lead with the Scottish player after three rounds at the Alfred Dunhill Championship on Saturday.
Strydom, the home player, made a late bogey at No. 16 to miss setting the Leopard Creek course record, but his round still featured eight birdies as well as an eagle to make him 15 under par overall.
Jamieson started slow, with two birdies and three bogeys on his front nine. He rebounded with three straight birdies, bringing home a 2-under 70 to remain in contention.
Strydom & Jamieson are two shots ahead South African pair Oliver Bekker & Dean Burmester and Englishman Dale Whitnell.
