Fowler, ranked 59th on the Official World Golf Ranking is now the 12th player to commit. The league is set to begin play in 2024.
TGL has signed 12 players to compete on the six three-man teams made up of PGA Tour players. Match play will take place on a virtual course with a short-game component for chipping and putting.

The matches will be played at prime time on Monday evenings. TGL broke ground last month for an arena on the Palm Beach State College campus in Palm Beach Gardens. There will be 15 matches as well as semifinals and a finale.
Fowler, who is 34, won the 2019 WM Phoenix Open. He is still one of the most beloved players in the sport. This year, he has experienced a resurgence in popularity after struggling during the past two seasons. He has six top-10 finishes this season in 10 starts, including a tie at the Players last Week. He tied for second at Zozo Championship, and was sixth at the Fortinet Championship.
Fowler finished 2014 in the top five in each of the four majors. He also tied for second at The Open, and the U.S. Open Open. He finished second in the 2018 Masters.
