With a 68, Laura Davies earns share of third-round lead at U.S. Senior Womens Open in Ohio

KETTERING (Ohio) — Laura Davies shot a 5-under 68 Saturday to share the third round lead with Helen Alfredsson at the U.S. Senior Womens Open.

The 58-year old English star Davies won the inaugural event at Chicago Golf Club in 2018. He eagled 16th par-5 and had three birdies in a round that was bogey-free.

She was able to match Alfredsson at 4-under 215. Alfredsson, a 57 year-old Swedish player, won Pine Needles 2019 title with a score of 75.

Annika Sorenstam was the Brooklawn winner last year. She was a stroke back from Jill McGill, Leta Lindley and Annika Sorenstam. Sorenstam shot 73 while McGill shot 71 and Lindley 75.
