Are golf shoes able to help you increase your distance and hit more fairways with greater accuracy?
It sounds too good for true, I know. But when you’re done reading this I think you will believe in Athalonz golf shoes.
These shoes are used by professional golfers, Bernhard Langer and long drive competitors.
The reason? They work!
If you’re looking to add more distance to your game, more confidence with your driver, and hopefully more fairways, keep reading.
If you’re like most golfers you’re probably thinking, how can a pair of golf shoes help me hit it further?
It’s a good question because pretty much every training aid promises the world. They promise promises like “Never three putt again”, “add 10 yards overnight” Or “fix your slice immediately.”
Although this sounds great, many of these training aids are just plain wrong. There are some training tools that we believe in and that have proven to be effective for a lot of players.
However, we’d never seen a pair of shoes make such a bold promise. Instead, most shoes are marketed for their comfort and durability, not their impact on your golf swing.
Let’s get into the science behind the Athalonz golf shoesThese are some of the ways they can help you improve your game.
- Their design is different from a normal pair.
- According to Athalonz “Better golf starts with better footwear.”
- These shoes can increase your drive by 9.5% WithoutSwing changes
These shoes were developed over many years before they made a splash in the world of golf. Tim Markison, a patent attorney with over 3,000 patents and a passion to play golf, founded the company. These shoes were possible because of his background in physics.
Here’s how these revolutionary golf shoes work:
- To increase stability and consistency, center you weight
- EnVe midsoles improve performance immediately
- Redirect your forces back towards your body to increase ground reactive force by up to 9 percent
They’re a lightweight shoe (about 11 ounces), engineered for comfort but also for better performance too. Here’s how EnVe technology paired with their Grip & Glide Technology can help your tee box game.
The midsole is the bread-and-butter of the foot. Athalonz shoes. The midsole of a shoe is not the same as a normal pair. It is designed to increase ground pressure, which can help increase speed or distance.
You can see the long-drive golfers and the longest hitters of the PGA Tour push off the ground when they are downswinging. The ground acts almost as a springboard that allows them to hit the ball and activate lower body.
The average amateur golfer does the opposite. Most amateur golfers don’t use their legs enough (which are the biggest muscles in the body) and instead rotate their upper body only. This can lead to over-the-top issues such as pulled shots and a lack of distance.
These shoes have a design that moves your weight closer to your center and keeps it there in the swing. This improves ground force, which can result in a 9.5% increase in driving range.

The patented midsole keeps your weight in the center to increase stability and reduce sway. So if you’re the type of player that tends to rock laterally in your swing, these can help. This makes it much easier to swing your body around with plenty of rotation, a full shoulder turn, and lots of movement.
The design forces your knees inward slightly at address position, which they call the “power triangle.” According to the company, “In this position, your body is able to maximize ground reaction force and minimize leakage forces. With your feet about shoulder width apart and more ground reaction force and less leakage forces, you generate 9% or more power!”
Optional insole kits are also available from the company for additional performance and individual tuning of your shoes to your needs. Here’s what the company said about the extra accessory:
- “The +3 OAP: This insole increases the slope, resulting in a highly aggressive, more powerful position.
- The -4 OAP: This insole decreases the slope, resulting in a position that maximizes comfort.”
Overall, I am very impressed these golf shoes. Like most avid golfers, I was skeptical at the beginning. But the numbers didnt lie.
I tested the Skechers current golf shoes against them using a high-end simulator. I hit 10 shots with each pair and found that my swing speed increased three times when I was wearing the shoes. While that might not sound like a ton – that’s 8–10 yards extra distance with a driver!
They are a bit more difficult to get used too, as they force your lower body in a different direction than normal shoes. Once I was comfortable, I felt a better downswing, which resulted in more stability and distance. I’m excited to keep using them and see if I can get even better results.
I was impressed by the story and vision of the founder after interviewing him on my podcast about golf. They now have a US-based operation, which is more expensive than most other shoe providers. However, this helps with supply issues and provides more job opportunities in America.
Overall, I love the shoes and the companys efforts to improve golfers game. WithoutSwing changes

These shoes have a water-resistant toe box but wouldn’t say they’re 100% waterproof like some golf shoes. The company notes they are “dew-proof” more than they are waterproof.
Yes, many golf professionals wear spineless shoes. This is quite a remarkable thing considering how many used to wear metal spikes. Some prefer soft spikes.
They test many types of shoes to determine which one is best for them. They don’t leave much to chance because every shot on the PGA Tour can mean thousands of dollars (or more money) and/or missed cuts.

Sqairz is another performance golf shoe that was voted the “most stable shoe in golf in 2022” by My Golf Spy. These shoes share similarities with Athalonz thanks to their design and ability improve performance.

These shoes are not your typical pair of golf shoes. These shoes are designed to improve stability and ground force, which will help you increase accuracy and distance. While you’ll see the distance changes most notably with your driver, you can see them with irons and wedges too.
They’re a piece of golf equipment that can help you hit it longer overnight (unlike most training aids). They also help to keep your feet stable and comfortable during your swing, which will reduce swaying and activate the lower body.
According to the company, “With more force directed towards the body, athletic performance (e.g., more control, more power, more stable, less wear & tear on the body) is immediately and permanently improved.”
These shoes are great for helping you hit more shots, even if you dont live in an extremely wet environment. Don’t let your equipment and footwear hold you back from playing your best golf.
