The proximity of the golf club to the site where the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001 occurred has drawn sharp criticism from family members of 9/11 victims.
This event follows members of 9/11 Justice sending an earlier this month letter to former President Trump, expressing their extreme pain, frustration, and anger at his decision to host the Saudi sponsored league at his club in New Jersey under the shadows of Ground Zero, the organization stated in a release earlier in the week.

They own large percentages of many American companies. And, frankly, their contribution to golf is amazing. They are doing so much for the players. The salaries are going up.
Barkley stated that he doesn’t understand why people are so angry at golfers and why more anger hasn’t been directed towards companies that receive financial support from the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

I don’t want be a hypocrite. These guys [LIV golfers]they are trying to make their living. I wish them the best. Same goes for my friends from the PGA Tour.
