Chez Reavie doubles lead to 6 points in Barracuda Championship

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Chez ReavieHis lead was doubled to six points Saturday at the Barracuda Championship. This event is the PGA Tour’s lone modified Stableford scoring tournament.

Reavie, 40 years old, had just completed a 19-point round. Reavie scored nine points to reach 37 points on Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood layout.

Five points are given for an eagle shot and two for a birdie shot. For bogey, a point is deducted and three points are taken away for double bogey.

Martin LairdScotland was second. He birdied the final three holes in a round of 13 points.

Reavie is aiming to win the PGA Tours third consecutive title, following the 2008 Canadian Open as well as the 2019 Travelers Championship.

Reavie birdied the par-5 6th and par-3 7th on the front nine. Reavie added birdies on the Par-4 11th, Par-5 12th, and 14th before dropping a point on par-3 15th with his one bogey in just three rounds.

The European Tour co-sanctions the event.
