Loaded Hero World Challenge field doesnt include Tiger Woods, although three open spots remain

Tiger WoodsAnother field is available for his Hero World Challenge, Bahamas.

Woods announced Tuesday 17 players to the 20-man roster. All except four are from the top-21 in the world ranking.

The No. 1 player in the world — Woods — is yet to be announced. Woods, who is ranked 1,195 in the world, will play at Albany. Woods reserved three spots for tournament exemptions, so it is expected that he will play at Albany for the first-time since 2019. He has played three majors this season, including the British Open in July.

The tournament must be eligible for world ranking points if the exemptions are in the top 50 of the world ranking.
