BOCA RTON, Fla. — Miguel Angel Jimenez birdied four of his final holes Friday to shoot a 5-under par 67, giving him an 1 shot lead. Paul Goydos Rod PamplingTimberTech Championship

The PGA Tour Champions is the second event in the postseason. The top 36 players in points advance to the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship next Wednesday in Phoenix.

Jimenez is already in, a three time winner this year who entered the event as No. 5 in the Schwab Cup Standings.

Vijay SinghAfter nine holes, he withdrew due to a foot injury. He will not be eligible in the Charles Schwab Cup Championship the second time he has played in the past three years.
