Richie Ramsay secures fourth European tour title, wins Cazoo Classic by a stroke

SOUTHPORT (England) — Richie Ramsay, a Scottish golfer, won the Cazoo Classic by just one shot on Sunday to claim his fourth European tour title.

The No. Ramsay, who was ranked 329, punched the air and roared in delight after holing the par putt from 10ft at Hillside near Liverpool in northwest England.

He shot 3-under-69 and was on 14-under 274 overall. This is his first title since March 2015s Trophee Hassan II.

Paul Waring, an Englishman who led after the second round, shot 70 and was in second place. Five players tied for third place were: Robin Petersson (68), Marcus Kinhult from Sweden (67), Robin Petersson 68), Daan Huizing (69), Grant Forrest of Scotland (70) and Julien Guerrier of France (72).

Guerrier was leading by one shot heading into round three as he sought his first professional victory.
