LIV Golf adds events in Mexico, Singapore, Spain to 2023 schedule

LIV Golf League will hold tournaments in Australia as part its 14-event program in 2023.

LIV Golf announced that it will host events at Mayakoba’s El Camaleon Golf Course in February (Feb. 24-25), Sentosa Golf Club, Singapore (April 28-30), Real Club Valderrama in Spain on June 30-July 2. LIV Golf is also expected back to The Centurion Club outside London where it held its inaugural event in June.

Greg Norman, LIV Golf CEO, stated that LIV Golf was a global league that is dedicated to expanding the sport worldwide. These venues have been the backdrop of memorable moments in golf and we are excited to create new traditions while providing a first-class experience for fans at some the best courses around the world.

Since 2007, Mayakoba hosts a PGA Tour event. Russell HenleyOn Nov. 6, the World Wide Technology Championship was won there. Valderrama hosted and hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup. It was also the venue of a DP World Tour event. Norman won his first pro tournament at The Grange Golf Club in 1976.

LIV is expected in the next weeks to announce the remainder of its 2023 schedule.

According to multiple reports, the circuit will be funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The circuit will play on three courses owned and operated by Donald Trump: Trump National Golf Club Bedminster (New Jersey), Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. (Virginia) and Trump National Doral Miami.

Sources say LIV Golf is also planning to play events across Arizona, Florida and Oklahoma.
