SALINA, Kan. — KarrieWebb shot a 6-under-66 in windy and warm conditions Saturday to win by 2 strokes over Annika Sorenstam, her playing partner in the Senior LPGA Championship.

Webb had six birdies during the bogey-free round. It was played in 100-degree heat with wind gusting to 30 MPH. She was at 9-under with a round left from Salina Country Club.

Webb stated that it was very challenging today. I managed to manage my game really well. Although I made only two birdies on the par-5s, it was an impressive effort to bogey-free for a day like today.

Sorenstam had a score of 68.

Sorenstam stated, I feel ready, I feel like my swing is well. I just need to be patient more.

Sunday will see the Hall of Famers play together.

Webb said, When you play against each other even if we are going out for a Social Hit, wed probably bring out the best of each other. I believe thats whats been happening the past few days.

Lisa DePaulo finished third at 6 under, after a 73.
